On Schweizer Straße
Sunny Side Up in Sachsenhausen is our third and newest breakfast restaurant in Frankfurt and opened in September 2025. As Sachsenhausen natives, this location is a real labour of love for us.
You will find us at Hans-Thoma-Straße 1, on the corner of Schweizer Straße, right at the start of the street and with a view of the skyline. The Schweizer Straße underground station, the Museumsufer and the river Main are about a two-minute walk away, and Willy-Brandt-Platz is roughly five minutes.
Bright, spacious & cosy
Our Sachsenhausen location is spacious, bright and, thanks to the large windows, flooded with light. At the same time we have furnished it to feel warm, cosy and modern. Inside there are 54 seats, outside another 60 across two terraces. The sun moves from one terrace to the other over the course of the day, so you will find sun or shade depending on the time.
Our menu is entirely vegetarian and offers plenty of vegan and gluten-free options. We serve breakfast here every day – and at the weekend even an hour longer than at our other two locations: Monday to Friday our kitchen closes at 3 pm, on Saturdays and Sundays not until 4 pm. So if you would like a later breakfast or brunch in Frankfurt at the weekend, Sachsenhausen is the place. Our weekly changing lunch is served Monday to Friday from 11:30 am to 3:00 pm.
Good to know
There is plenty of room for families too: alongside high chairs, a baby changing room and our small children’s menu, Sachsenhausen even has a little play corner for kids. Dogs are welcome as well. The entrance has one step and is not step-free, but we are happy to put out our ramp if needed.
In Sachsenhausen we also work with walk-ins only and do not take reservations. During the week you can almost always get a table straight away; at the weekend there can be a wait between 10 am and 2 pm.

Daily: 9:00 am–5:00 pm
Kitchen Monday–Friday until 3:00 pm
Kitchen Saturday & Sunday until 4:00 pm
