Right by the Alte Oper
Sunny Side Up in the Westend is the first of our three breakfast restaurants in Frankfurt and opened in 2019. In early 2026 we completely refurbished and modernised it.
You will find us at Bockenheimer Landstraße 9, just a few steps from the Alte Oper. The Alte Oper underground station and the Taunusanlage S-Bahn station are right outside the door, and Hauptwache is about a five-minute walk away.
Seating indoors & outdoors
Inside the café there are 52 seats, plus three generous terraces with more than 60 seats. Two of the terraces have awnings and patio heaters, so you can have breakfast or brunch outside even on cooler days.
Our menu is entirely vegetarian and offers plenty of vegan and gluten-free options. We serve breakfast daily until 3 pm, and our weekly changing lunch is available Monday to Friday from 11:30 am to 3:00 pm.
Good to know
For all families with children: as in all our cafés, you will find high chairs, a changing table, a box of toys, a small children’s menu and babyccinos on the house. The entrance is step-free via a ramp. Dogs are warmly welcome too.
We work with walk-ins only and do not take reservations. At weekends in particular, expect a wait for a table between 10 am and 2 pm – it is worth it 🙂

Monday–Friday: 8:00 am–5:00 pm
Saturday & Sunday: 9:00 am–5:00 pm
